Summer to Fall

Today is the first snow of the season...Wyatt said to me "It's Christmas!" I wish! We are not super eventful however things do happen! Like Wyatt's face scrape! There is a scary sex offender man that just got out of prison and he moved in like a block away. Needless to say I am kinda paranoid about the whole thing and one night coming home ALONE with the kids to a dark house...... I got the kids out of the car (Bella and Wyatt were screaming who knows why?) and I was freaked out about someone popping out of the bushes etc. and Wyatt was refusing to go in the house so as I was directing him into the house he lost his step and caught himself on the pavement with his face. So now not only was I scared from the sex offender but I was a child abuser and both kids were screaming. We got in the house and calmed everything down...and then I suddenly smelled smoke. (It is 9:30-10:00 pm) My mind immediatly went to.."there is someone in my house who is smoking and it is probably that creepy guy down the street and he is here to hurt me and my kids." I called Dan who was just leaving Pocatello (it takes at least an hour to get home) and I was not doing well....I was embarassed at my inability to get a hold of my fear and freaking outness and Dan is in a carpool so I got off the phone with him...Then my friend called just cause and I was a crazy person! I am sure she was like who is this person not the Sarah I know..????Anyway while I was on the phone finding out thtat someone was burning a field for some reason in the dark Dan texts me and says he is sending the cops to check out the premises...so the cops came and I was embarassed and they checked out the premises:) I told the cop my fears of the sex offender and he was like oh we dont know all the sex offenders by name..I then told him his name etc and he knew tons about him...that comforting. He then went on to tell me that this particular man doesn't attack women in their home, he attacks them in public places. Anyway oh what a night!

Other than that story we pictures here of just some normal everyday stuff like dumping out a box of goldfish and jumping on them cause its fun....then cleaning them up, Bella getting in the tub fully dressed, and Wyatt enjoying the last few days of being able to take your cloths off and ride your bike:)

Thomas is a ......Choo choo train

Over Memorial day weekend we took the kids to Heber City Ut for the Thomas the train event thingy. If I do this again I will make sure I get the soonest train ride after our arrival. I bought the events tickets weeks in advance and I signed up for a 1:30 pm train ride. We arrived at the staion at 11:00 ish because there were several other things to do there. However those other things were not #1 on Wyatt 's priority list. He saw Thomas and he wanted to ride him right then! We spent the next hour calming a confused Thomas hungry 3 yr old. Once the riding time had arrived we were all joy and excitement. Waiting isn't a characteristic of most 3 yr olds and Wyatt in particular is quite insistent on getting what he wants. Now don't think I just give into his fits and give him what he wants when he screams for hours on end oh noo I patiently parent with love!! So all in all it was a fun trip and no ones behavior was at all shocking including Dan's. :)

Cheeky

Showing a little cheek:! Wyatt wants the picture on his underwear to be in the front. We have been going through this battle for months. Then we had a talk about how the underwear "pocket" goes in the front. Underwear is now properly worn with the picture on the bum and the "pocket" in the front. Bella and I riding the Tiger at the Zoo. Wyatt refused it seemed to real and too risky to ride. Bella has been waving and saying hi to everyone these days she is also starting to have a miriad of facial expressions. It is cute to see her express herself:)!

Never ending Winter! This was yesterday.....just kidding it wasn't
Wyatt threw our Skipbo cards in a sink full of dishes. I went to the gym came back and found them as a surprise at the bottom of the sink. Teach me to put off dish doing!
Bella the water baby! She would take 10 baths a day if I let her. If she hears that water going she goes a running full speed towards it!
Wyatts' broken foot :( ! This was half way through the healing. No worries he is all better now!

Update

Several not so exciting things have happened since November. Bella had a birthday numero uno! Wyatt broke his foot which was quite a battle with the ER, the gauze, the bandages, etc, and the boot. Thankfully little kids are quick healers! It snowed forever!!! It still isn't warm here, But there is no longer snow piles in my yard:) Also since November (thanks to Pa Pa ) we have the egress windows %95 done, ( I am going to finish filling in the hole tomorrow (maybe)). We have a framed bathroom with all the electric an plumbing ready to go, a door for the bathroom and doors for the furnace up. I am hoping we can get this bathroom project finished before June!! I have all the drive to do it but zero know how so once I learn maybe I can be more of an asset to the progress:).

I am very much looking forward to this summer. We got a zoo pass and we are members of a gym with an outdoor pool. We have a backyard with swings. Hopefully we will have a sand box soon, and I am excited about making my yard look pretty! I have already pruned the heck out of multiple trees and bushes! It is nice to have established foliage but it takes quite a bit of taming when the previous owner didn't do much taming. So thats that!

Fall to Winter

About a week and a half ago i took the kids on a 6.5 hour drive that actuallt took 8 hours to Casper. This picture is of Wyatt admiring the diggers in the field. This was taken from the park behind my old home in Casper. Laura took it=== thanks!! The weather was great! The roads were pretty good for this time of year so I cannot complain about that. The difficult part of traveling is having strapped in kiddos that just want to break free. Who claim they have pooped so that you pull the car over to change a daiper only to find absolutely noithing in there. Wyatt learned that if you tell mom this you get to get out of your car seat.
On another note we have been remodeling our house. I ripped out two layers of seriouslly ugly wall paneling in our front room only to find a third layer of the stuff and no drywall. So we have drywalled our wall in the front room, or shall I say that Dan's dad drywalled. I am learning a lot like sand then paint, don't start a project till the other big one is done, and you are going to have to live with the results of demo longer than you think! I thought that I would find a nice drywall wall behind the paneling, I thought the project would take a day maybe two. It turned into a two week project. However I am pleasantly pleased with my new living room!! I will post some pictures of my newish kitchen and living room as soon as they are picked up, vacumed, all the dished done, floor mopped, everything put away etc. So it might never happen :). I feel like i just can't keep up!!

house pics

Sweet Kithchen cabinets...nothing a little paint can't fix!

The backyard is perfect for a two year old!

Fireplace for those cold Idaho days!

The home was built in 1962 and the wall paneling really shows it!

Goings on round here

Just a quick update. Dan is now attending Idaho State University. He got into the Marriage and Family counseling program there and his is very much imerssed in it. He reads and reads and reads some more. I honestly think I haven't seen my husband more than an hour a day since we moved to Idaho after Wyatt was born back in 2008. I am really grateful that we got into the program!! However I still miss my husband. S
On another note we are super close to buying our first home in Idaho Falls. It is not our dream home but it is what we can afford and it suits our needs for now. Our needs pretty much being a back yard for Wyatt and a place for all our stuff. We are supposed to close on it on October 15th but we are really hoping that it will be sooner!! S
So in the mean time we are living at Dan's parent house. They have been so generous to us in so many ways and I just can't believe they haven't kicked us out yet. Wyatt has been pretty destructive...shocking I know. So all in all things are going pretty well! I am still a tired mommy that doesn't sleep but I am grateful that there is a roof over my head and that our prayers have been answered in regards to Dans schooling!
