Fall to Winter

About a week and a half ago i took the kids on a 6.5 hour drive that actuallt took 8 hours to Casper. This picture is of Wyatt admiring the diggers in the field. This was taken from the park behind my old home in Casper. Laura took it=== thanks!! The weather was great! The roads were pretty good for this time of year so I cannot complain about that. The difficult part of traveling is having strapped in kiddos that just want to break free. Who claim they have pooped so that you pull the car over to change a daiper only to find absolutely noithing in there. Wyatt learned that if you tell mom this you get to get out of your car seat.
On another note we have been remodeling our house. I ripped out two layers of seriouslly ugly wall paneling in our front room only to find a third layer of the stuff and no drywall. So we have drywalled our wall in the front room, or shall I say that Dan's dad drywalled. I am learning a lot like sand then paint, don't start a project till the other big one is done, and you are going to have to live with the results of demo longer than you think! I thought that I would find a nice drywall wall behind the paneling, I thought the project would take a day maybe two. It turned into a two week project. However I am pleasantly pleased with my new living room!! I will post some pictures of my newish kitchen and living room as soon as they are picked up, vacumed, all the dished done, floor mopped, everything put away etc. So it might never happen :). I feel like i just can't keep up!!

house pics

Sweet Kithchen cabinets...nothing a little paint can't fix!

The backyard is perfect for a two year old!

Fireplace for those cold Idaho days!

The home was built in 1962 and the wall paneling really shows it!

Goings on round here

Just a quick update. Dan is now attending Idaho State University. He got into the Marriage and Family counseling program there and his is very much imerssed in it. He reads and reads and reads some more. I honestly think I haven't seen my husband more than an hour a day since we moved to Idaho after Wyatt was born back in 2008. I am really grateful that we got into the program!! However I still miss my husband. S
On another note we are super close to buying our first home in Idaho Falls. It is not our dream home but it is what we can afford and it suits our needs for now. Our needs pretty much being a back yard for Wyatt and a place for all our stuff. We are supposed to close on it on October 15th but we are really hoping that it will be sooner!! S
So in the mean time we are living at Dan's parent house. They have been so generous to us in so many ways and I just can't believe they haven't kicked us out yet. Wyatt has been pretty destructive...shocking I know. So all in all things are going pretty well! I am still a tired mommy that doesn't sleep but I am grateful that there is a roof over my head and that our prayers have been answered in regards to Dans schooling!

June 2010

We climbed Red Rock. Very cool! We went to the Zoo--very full of animals! We cut holes in a box so Wyatt could see were he was going when he puts boxes on his head. Wyatt not so gently loves his sister. Wyatt climbs in Bella's toy.

Another water spill, this is a very very small version of what usually happens

Swimming!

unloading the dishwasher for me, mostly just throwing the silverware back in.

Taking pics

I am taking Natalies advice. I took my camera with me today and captured the moments. Notice the cereal on the rug and the naked bum. For some reason Wyatt likes to be naked.

just another day in paradise

Happy Sunday! Just curious does any one else ever feel like all they do is take care of their kids? This is my basic 20 things i do each day.
1. Lets start early shall we 3.am Bella is awake looking for some love and food.
2. 6 am Bella is awakelooking for some love and food
3. 8am Bella is awake for good this time looking for some you guessed it love and food.
4. Wyatt is also awake looking for some food and some sesame street, sometimes he sleeps til 9 though:)
5. We play and eat and clean up food and change diapers I also like toshower at some point that is usually cut short becuase one or both of the kids wants some love or food. 10am
6. I try and go somewhere and do an activity to get some energy out of Wyatt. But before we leave Bella needs some food. 11am
7. 11.30 yep it takes awhile to lock and load when you must pack diapers snacks cars juice wipes etc.
8. The activity usually ends up with me chasing Wyatt somewhere while holding a car seat. If it is the activity called Walmart it usually ends with Wyatt screaming for a banana while the cashier weighs them in. Or reaching for the candy, gift cards, etc and screaming cause i wont let him throw them all on the floor.
9. home again after loading them back in the car and giving Wyatt his banana the he smeared all over himself and sometimes the car window.
10.Clean the car window and Wyatt sometimes I just give up on that cause Bella needs to be held and givin love and more food.
11. Lunch we only use ketchup on the days I feel like giving Wyatt a bath after lunch.
12. Nap, well not really anymore but I still try everyday! Wyatt usually ends up throwing all the blanckets on the floor while yelling mooooom over and over again. Sometimes I just leave him there so i can clean up lunch and give Bella some more food.
13. I try and do some chores and prep dinner while Wyatt dumps something out
14. Bella sleeps for 20 mins until Wyatt wakes her up
15. Dinner seems to take allnight for some reason maybe it is because it takes exeptionally long to prepare it while battling the kiddos. I usually dont get a chance to eat it until Dan comes home to tag team it with me. which is at 9:30
16. Get Wyatt ready for bed, bath, book, songs, prayers. Attempt to put him to bed but usually fail because he didn't get his nap so he is overexhausted.
17. Eat my dinner, feed Bella
18. Go to my room and attempt laying Bella down by herself. She usually gives me 20 mins before she wakes up and notices I am not holding her. I think to myself I cannot wait until she sleeps through the night!!!!
19. Get a hug from my super hard working husband try and have a conversation which usually ends in us being too tired to finish,. Clean up the kitchen and living room, fold some laundry which is all wrinkly now cause I was too busy to fold it when it finished drying. Then we say
prayers fall asleep....until Bella needs love or food which usually isn't very far off.
20.Do it all again
I love my kids I just feel like they are exeptionally demanding! Does anyone else ever feel like that? why are my kids sooooo hard when everyone else seems to have good kids? I just need a nanny!!!! ps...Please dont think I am a bad mother because my baby eats all the time and my 2 year old ends up running away from me in public.

Family pics the cheap way

This is a funny shot. Dan talking to Wyatt about hitting and me laughing at them.:)!

On Mothers day we went out back and Amanda (Dans sister) took a couple shots of our family for us. This is the way to save money! Normally we would go to Sears or something but i didn't want to spend more than $5 so here is our 2010 family pics.

Waiting

For those of you who know me, know that one of my favorite things to do is to worry. Well my biggest worry for the last year has been grad school. Will we get in, where will we live, how will we pay for it etc. I say we because even though Dan is the one who will be the student I am his cheerleader, bookeeper, application filler outer, etc. etc. This is a family pursuit!! If we dont get in we will need to find a job, preferably a job related to his field (psychology/counseling) so that when/if we start this wonderful process over in the fall he will have more experience. I guesse I just am feeling overwhelmed today and a bit stressed about what will happen and how we will get our crazy kids moved and settled somewhere (for at least a year or two).

I guesse I am asking for prayers! If any of you go to the temple just slip our names in on thoe prayer list as well. Dan is on a waiting list for ISU. We have been waiting since January and I am about all burnt out from it! So just pray pray pray that we get accepted and if not that something wonderful will come along that will be even better. PS since you will be praying anyway just add a little petition that Dan will be a successful salesmen this summer:)!

Denver

So we have officially arrived in Denver Colorado. Dan is selling pest control again this summer and so far this experience has been a lot different than last summer. Number one I am not feeling sick and number two Dan is having more success this year.
Here is my baby Bella she is four months old. Her cheeks are getting chubbier and her hair is becoming scarcer.

Update

So Bella was blessed on the 14th of March. My parents and my brothers Adam and Levi along with my sister Emily came up from Casper. My sister Laura her kids and her husband Milas were also able to be there. Jacob came up from Provo too. It was like a mini family reunion. All that was missing was Ben (on his mission coming home this friday:)), Leah, and Seth and his family. Growing up each time my mother had a baby and the baby was blessed it was just another Sunday for us kids, but now as we are all having kids is seems to be a bigger deal. Who knows why?? Maybe it is a Utah Idaho thing or maybe it is just an excuse to get the fam together.

Anywho my sister Laura and her family came up driving through the night and while Milas worked on an audit in Salt Lake during the week Laura stayed with me and we hung out. We went to Artic circle for lunch one day and this play place in idaho Falls called BLAST OFF, but other than that we pretty much changed alot of diapers and fed alot of kids. What do you expect when there is 5 kids 3 and under one roof. So it was fun to do my menial chores with a little company that week. Wyatt unfortunatly is still a horrible sharer and has the classic the world revolves around me why isn't everyone acting like it syndrome. It is fun to see the difference in how Wyatt plays and destroys EVERYTHING and how little girls like to read and be held. Even now Wyatt is tackling Dan while he tries to study. He runs and yells in his deepest voice"TACKLE" and jumps on Dan or whoever is on the floor. Oh thats over now and he just dumped out a bin of toys on the floor walked away without playing with any of them and is continuing his war path to the laundry baskets, so I better go. :)

Wyatt is in the saying what we say and doing we what we do stage. So he has decided to shave early. Dan started shaving when he was 13 but this is a bit out of control.
